Perhaps the most iconic game souvenir is the program.  Whether you’re attending your first game, or you’re a season ticket holder, you’ll often buy a program to get the rosters for both teams as well as news and notes from around the league.  In the 1960s and 70s Totems fans also had new articles appearing in every issue, often by local notable sportswriters like Hy Zimmerman and Bill Knight.  All the more incentive to pick up a copy each and every night.  Their popularity is evident when I visit people to see their collections, which invariably include programs, and often in rather large quantities.  One local fan I met years ago had at least 200 Totems programs from when he attended games as a teen; another had near complete runs from four different seasons, each with the game ticket and article from the Seattle Times stapled to the inside.

Below is a selection of programs from the Metropolitans through the Totems.  Thanks to Dave Eskenazi for providing images of some of the earliest programs.
